The AND gateway models the branching type “and”.


In case of branching, all originating outputs of the gateway are activated independently.

example:
After a customer call is answered, the responsible worker has to simultaneously find out the customer's wishes and also enter the order into the system.

In the case of merging, all originating outputs of the branch gateway must finish before activating the outgoing sequence from the merge.

example:
Only after finding out all of the customer's wishes and all orders are entered into the system, the call is ended.
